CAL: Featured Artist Golda Rader in January

Golda Rader is January Featured Artist at CAL

The Gallery will open the 2018 art season with a member show in January, featuring artist Golda Rader. The show opens January 3, 2018 and an Artist's Reception will be January 13 from 5-8 pm, in co-ordination with the Student Show Awards Ceremony.
Golda is the long-time treasurer for CAL and also serves in a different capacity on the Lone Star Art Guild board. As a Certified Decorative Painter with the National Society of Decorative Painters and a longtime Zentangle teacher, Rader promises to provide the Gallery with an exciting array of original work. Her work can be seen in the Smithsonian and Renwick Gallery in Washington DC and includes painting, mixed media, color pencil and Zentangle. She has taught at 24 national art conventions and has taught classes in nearly every state. Rader currently teaches at the Gallery, through the Conroe Art League (CAL), in mixed media and color pencil and has online classes serving national and international students.

Having won numerous awards throughout the years, including two "Best of Shows" in local juried competitions, Rader still contends that her greatest accomplishments have been when her students win competitions.

The Gallery at the Madeley, 127 Simonton, is home of the Conroe Art League, a nonprofit organization of vibrant artists and art lovers. The gallery is open from 10:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays through Saturdays, open late until 8:00 on Fridays and for private events and tours.
