JUROR PENNY CERLING Artist Penny Cerling explores life and the Universe in her work – those things which are too small or too large to see, but which can be known through science and explored in the arts. Her work is usually done in pen and ink on paper or wood through series which explore the way things work. Examples are Bur Clover Series (a simple weed that has importance to life by fixaon of nitrogen), Grasses Series (a collaboraon with poet Ars Bernard), From Sundials to Black Holes (exploring sundial maps), Pipevine (exploring the flower, vine, seed formaon, and buerfly), and Moonflower (exploring the flower, vine, seeds).
