The Lone Star Art Guild is a fine arts community organization currently made up of 15 independent art leagues located within a 200-mile radius of Houston, Texas.
Alther participates in several prominent national shows each year in addition to his association with several established and respected galleries like Pitzer's Fine Arts. His work is in the permanent collection of the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum and many private collections.
Alther is a member of Oil Painters of America and the Society of Animal Artists. His work is regularly juried into their annual exhibitions as well as other national shows.
