It's hard to believe, but the holidays are upon us.
The Art League of Baytown is very proud to be an active part of our community, the Historic Downtown Arts District and the Historic Baytown's A.C.E. Council (A.C.E. = Arts Culture and Entertainment District). In addition, we work closely with the City of Baytown. As a result, we are partnering for a variety of holiday fun throughout the month of December.
Please join us for the following exciting events:
v Christmas Gift Gallery November 14-December 22. Each year, in addition to the wonderful art that is always available at the Art Center, local artists and artisans set up impressive displays of hand crafted gift items, holiday décor and more for the Art League of Baytown's Christmas Gift Gallery. Choose from original artwork, handmade cards, Christmas ornaments and décor, pottery, jewelry, hand-painted wine glasses, and a variety of other items. The Art Center is located at 110 W. Texas Avenue in Baytown and is open to the public Wednesday through Friday, 10-4 and Saturdays, 10-1. And in December, the Art Center will be open additional days and hours: Monday through Saturday, 10-4.
v City Christmas Parade down Texas Avenue (Thursday, December 6, 6:30-9:30pm) visit the Art League of Baytown before and during the parade for face painting, kid's arts and crafts projects and to purchase snacks, drinks, art, gifts, and raffle tickets.
v City of Baytown Annual Art Show and Awards (Friday, December 7th. 6-9pm at Baytown Community Center) Some Art League of Baytown members will be competing and will also have a booth set up where you can purchase art, gifts, holiday decor and raffle tickets.
v 21st Annual Christmas on Texas Avenue Festival (Saturday, December 8th, 10am-4pm, Town Square Park) This is an exciting annual festival featuring vendor booths, food trucks, entertainment, photos with Santa, and a variety of family friendly activities. Visit the Art League of Baytown at The Art Center and at our outdoor booths for child and adult arts and crafts projects, a sidewalk chalk art competition, and to purchase snacks, drinks, art, gifts, and raffle tickets. (The ice rink in Town Square will also be open.)
v Farmer's and Holiday Market (Saturday, December 15th, 8am-1pm, Town Square Park) visit the Art League of Baytown at The Art Center and at our booth to purchase art, gifts, and raffle tickets.
