WAL: One-day Workshops--Aug 12, Sept 16






Mono Printing and Paper Weaving with Treena Rowan
August 12, 10 AM to 2 PM

Tuition $50, supplies $10
Use natural elements and found objects to create one-of-a-kind prints on a variety of surfaces, creating works on paper to stand alone, or to be melded and woven with others to create wonderful mixed media art. Allow your imagination to lead you down new paths with every print! Most supplies will be provided, just show up, find a seat, and lose yourself in the creative process. Suitable for all levels of experience, adults and older teens. Come with your BFF, make it a family experience, or meet new friends around our work table!

Wax and Paper Workshop 

In this one day workshop we will explore ways to use paper with the wax. Mount heavy watercolor paper on a surface as a substrate, collage with Japanese paper, or create texture with tissue paper and tea bags. Use pre-colored waxes or make your own with pigments or oil paint. This workshop will give you enough general understanding of encaustic techniques for you to join the Woodlands Encaustic Artists Group.
Saturday September 16th from 10 am to 4 PM, with a break for lunch, at Studio in the Woods, 26002 Budde Rd,77380
$100 tuition and equipment use, $60  supplies. $50 deposit to hold seat due by September 6th  so supplies can be purchased. 15% discount to WAL members.
Send deposit by check made out to instructor or bring cash/check to Open Studio or WAL meeting. Balance due on workshop date.
