WAL: New Watercolor Class / Kids Camps

NEW Watercolor Classes !

WAL is pleased to announce that Rachel Altschuler will be offering watercolor classes at our studio beginning the week of June 5th. Classes will be on Monday evenings at 6:30 or Tuesday afternoons at 1:00 PM. All supplies will be included for this class; just walk in and begin to paint!
6 sessions for $250, ( includes supplies). Suitable for beginners and up.

WAL Summer Classes and Workshops for Kids

WAL is again offering summer classes for kids 9 and up!
Monday through Thursday four of our instructors will offer kids a vacation art experience that will keep the summer blahs away! All class pricing will include all materials for  weekly projects; your child will come home with a piece of art ready to display or hang. Monday: Clay and Sculpture with Shailja Kumar. 9:00-11:30 AM - Kids will make a traditional hand coiled pot, a mask, small sculpture and a project of their own choosing.  4 weeks with an option for two additional classes. Contact to register.

Tuesday: Summer Acrylic Painting for Kids with Lauren Combs. 9:00 -11:30 AM. Four weeks with an optional two extra classes. Students will paint landscape, still life, seascape, and florals using varied styles and supports. All ready to hang when you get home! Pricing includes a brush set and palette to keep after the class, plus canvas, wood panels and paints. Optional weeks will be to explore knife painting and an acrylic pour. Contact Lauren at

Wednesday: Creating with Mixed Media  with Jilan. (please note: this is our only afternoon class!) 1:00- 3:30 PM. The sky is the limit while exploring paints, collage, pastels, and other media! All material included for a variety of projects to keep your child eagerly awaiting the next week's class. Contact Jilan Chew at for information and to register.

Thursdays: Art Through Crafting with Corinne Smith. 9:00 -11:30 AM. Traditional crafts offer more than summer fun. The practical skills learned last a lifetime and easily transfer to art creation or everyday life. From making a tie-dyed towel, to pouring and painting a leaf birdbath, Corinne offers a wonderful assortment of projects your child can be proud of and that can be displayed and used in your home all year. Mark Kistler's Vacation Art Camp will be at our studio the week of June 19th! 
Kids of all ages and their parents have a blast learning basic drawing skills - shading, perspective, line and more - while following the lessons that Mark developed during his years on PBS, inspiring two generations of artists.
