In McMillan-Hayes' workshop, you will discover new approaches, techniques and texture for creating dynamic wildlife paintings from concept to completion. Students will also learn how to take reference photos and edit to create the best painting including; form, composition, design and color to create drama, how to see values, and the importance of light. We will also discuss an element of contemporary realism forgotten in many paintings…texture. Students will discover how to recreate and apply texture in appropriate places for the most dramatic effect. Vickie will also be available to critique your work and bring it to the next level. Some supplies are included, a list of supplies you will need will be provided upon signing up.
