2020 NWAL SPRING OPEN ART SHOW
The Northwest Art League will hold its Spring Open Judged Art Show on Saturday March 21, 2020 at Kinsmen Lutheran Church, 12100 Champion Forest Dr, Houston, TX 77066.
This show will be judged by Susan Giannantonio. Susan has been painting and teaching watercolor and water media for many years. She has been an active member of the Watercolor Art Society Houston. She also owns Mayville Watercolors Gallery, Mayville, NY where she teaches each summer.
ELIGIBILITY: The show is open to 1) NWAL members, 2) members of Lone Star Art Guild Clubs, 3) non-member artists and 4) adult and school students. We especially encourage school students to enter their art in the show. There is no limit on the number of art works an artist may enter in the show. To be eligible for entering the show the art must have been completed within the last 2 years, cannot have won first place in a prior show and cannot have been previously entered in a Lone Star Annual Convention Show. If you are not current on your NWAL annual dues, they may be paid at the show. If you would like to join the NWAL, you may do so at Artwork Intake or at the show.

1:00 PM Show open to the public
2:00 PM Awards and Judge's Critique
3:30 PM Removal of artwork

REGISTRATION ENTRY FEES: Artists MUST pre-register their entries on-line through the
LSAG Database. Payments are mailed to Karen Corner, treasurer.

1 piece $2.00 Students 18 & Under
Registration nonmembers 1 piece $10.00 Adults 19 & Over
1 piece $3.00 Students 18 & Under
PRIZES: Best of Show – Adult - $100.00 + Ribbon
Best of Show – School Student - $30.00 + Ribbon
Ribbons will be awarded for Best Floral, Best Watercolor, Best Landscape. Ribbons will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 1st Honorable Mention and Honorable Mention in each Division/Category.
Ribbons given for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 1st Honorable Mention will be eligible for entry in LSAG's Convention show. Ribbons given for regular Honorable Mention will not be eligible for entry in LSAG.
REGISTRATION: Registration of artwork via the LSAG database is the only way to enter this show. There will be no walk-in registration. Checks should be made out to NWAL and sent to: Ms Karen Corner, NWAL Treasurer, 17607 Sorrel Ridge, Spring, TX 77388. You must sign an Artists Statement of Liability to enter the show.
