Jenny Carattini-Wright Takes the Helm
of The Woodlands Arts Council as Executive Director
Jenny Carattini-Wright, who has admirably served in a variety of positions with The Woodlands Arts Council since its inception, has taken the helm of the organization as its Executive Director. Most recently, she was Interim Development Director last year, and prior to that was Festival Director of The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival from 2011-2016. During her tenure as Festival Director, she led the team in ranking among the top five arts festivals in the country. The event quickly became one of the most sought-after fine arts festivals in the nation for both artists and attendees.

"We are pleased to recognize the incomparable performance put forth by Jenny on behalf of our organization," said Dr. Maria Holmes, President of the Board of Directors. The results are in! The 2018 Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival was recently ranked among the Top 100 Fine Art & Design Shows in the country by Sunshine Artist, America's premier art and craft show reference. The magazine provides comprehensive reviews and listings of every event, from fine art fairs, festivals and events, to small craft shows around the country. See full list here.


Young Artists Enjoy Summertime Creativity at The Woodlands Mall
This enthusiastic group of 5th and 6th grade art students participated in the Summer Art Workshop, co-presented by The Woodlands Arts Council and The Woodlands Mall on July 27.

Thanks to The Woodlands Mall for hosting, and to Jen Lucas and her students at The Woodlands High School for helping the young students at the event!

TWAC Board Vice President, Alex Bunch, Displays his Incredible Art!
The Woodlands Arts Council's Board of Directors is comprised of a group of outstanding community members who share a passion for the arts. One of the most ardent board members is Vice President Alex Bunch, who recently put two years of his life on display at a Pop-Up in Market Street.

Christopher Brown
Drawing/Printmaking
Christopher has been drawing all his life. As a printmaker, he began with large paper pieces and has evolved to drawing on handmade birch wood panels. His passion for nature is expressed in his graphic pencil drawings. The act of drawing is what he loves.
