WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP
If you like watercolor, please join us at our March 18, 2018 General Meeting (2PM) for a watercolor demonstration by Carla Gauthier, and then join Carla on the following Saturday, March 24, 2018, for a watercolor workshop.

CLASS: Minimum 10 Maximum 16
COST: $65.00 (please pay a $25.00 nonrefundable deposit when you sign up for the workshop to hold your place with balance due 1 week prior to class. Deposit refunded only if class does not meet minimum registration.)

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT CARLA:
Carla's work combines her love of architectural detail and attention to qualities of light that transform commonplace scenes. The result is a body of works that read like snapshots….people going about their daily life, oblivious to us looking on, and their story is allowed to unfold.
Born and educated in Canada, Carla Gauthier has lived and worked in the U.S. and Europe, and now resides in Houston, Texas where she continues to paint and teach. While earning her BA in Fine Art and Art History, and her Bachelor of Education, she continued to paint in watercolors and oils. An education in traditional drawing and printmaking provided her a solid base in image making.
Carla is a signature member of the prestigious National Watercolor Society, the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour and an Elite member of the Watercolor Art Society – Houston. She has shown with these and other organizations in their regional, national and international shows, and has paintings in collections throughout Canada, the United States and Europe.

Registration and payment is an important part of of any workshop. Please review the procedures noted below:
- Registration: Visit the Art Center and sign up at the front desk (or call 281-427-2222 to register and make a payment by phone - the Art Center is open Wednesday thru Friday 10am-4pm and Saturday 10-1).
- Payment: A minimum of $25.00 or full payment should be paid at sign up to hold your place
- Supplies: Supply lists are distributed by e mail to participants so please list your email address on the sign up sheet. Sometimes the teacher will bring supplies.
