LSAG: Convention Registration is CLOSED; Floor is OPEN

We had a very successful registration with very few issues.  Thanks to all who helped make that possible.  Registration has closed, and it is NOT possible to add anyone else nor to enter any artwork any longer.  Those attempting to add will not be listed in the materials and will not have a registration packet.  We are looking forward to a dynamic convention that is sure to be full of inspiration!  See you all soon!

For schedule and details about our demo artists and hotel info, see separate posts below.

***

The LSAG new board has been slated for the 2016-2017 year!  Most positions are filled.  Two remain:  2nd VP of Shows / Database and Secretary.  If you are interested in either of these positions, please read the details below and make us aware by sending an email to  lsagconnect@gmail.com by Tuesday, July 12th, midnight.  Those seeking a position with LSAG should...

-have displayed getting along well with others & be a team player
-be able to use email efficiently for communications & respond to emails in a timely fashion
-VP of Shows / Database requires someone who is experienced in being a Show Chair and/or Database Manager at the league level and been successful at doing such.  He/She should not be over-extended in other commitments.  This job is one of the heavier ones requiring more commitment and attention to detail.  In fact, attention to detail, following through on multiple items, and excellent organizational skills are essentials.
-Secretary is a position we can easily explain to a newcomer wishing to serve.  This is a very light seasonal position should you wish to serve LSAG but not have a lot of time.  Abilities include taking notes at meetings and assisting the president as needed in regards to communications.
-Members on the board include those representing ALFB(1), ASW(1), CAL(2), LAL(2), & NWAL(1).  Let's see some other leagues represented as well.  The floor is open until the 12th.

Respond by next Tuesday, midnight to lsagconnect@gmail.com.  Thanks.

LSAG: Hotel Info for Convention Goers

CONVENTION HOTEL INFORMATION

For those out of town or wishing to stay nearby, the following hotel  information is provided to assist you.  We encourage those wishing to stay at a hotel near the convention venue to use the many search engines available online to ensure the best price.  The hotels could not match some of the lower rates on these search engines and were requiring a minimum of rooms in order for their less impressive discount to be given.

The following hotels are in the area of the convention site.  More hotels are also available, but we only listed the ones with a 4.0 or higher rating on Hotels.com and 3.5 or higher on Trip Advisor at the time of publishing.  You may also wish to look at hotels off of I-45 if that is more convenient for you, but we chose to put the closer hotels here.  Time away from venue refers to drive time without traffic.

All offer free parking and many offer breakfast (though not all do).   Please check directly with the hotel you are considering for details on amenities.  Also note the full name of the hotel which indicates its specific location.  These are all chain hotels and have multiple locations.
